oo2 | time to save the universe again, is it?

[ The following Thursday, an email circulates around to the chosen operatives of ARCG. There are several pdf attachments of maps, GPS co-ordinates and mission parameters, all dedicated to providing as smooth an operation as possible to those involved. ]

TO: [ employees; field operatives ]
FROM: blankenship@arcg.org
CC: m.anholt@arcg.org

I expect you all back in one piece. Good luck.

De nobis fabula narratur.

ST PETERSBURG, RUSSIA: There have been rumors that one of the eight lost Imperial Faberge eggs (the Danish Jubilee egg, to be precise) has popped up on the black market. While this is well-outside of normal mission parameters, several of ARCG's financial backers have expressed an interest in its recovery. Not only do ARCG agents need to confirm the authenticity of the relic, they also need to squirrel it past customs and black market criminals. Safety can only be guaranteed once the crew return to British soil. This could get messy.
[ ELIZABETH DUBOIS, 1 LIBRARIAN, DOYLE (BACK-UP = KALINDA SHARMA) ]

AMARNA, EGYPT: ARCG members are expected to work with representatives of the Egyptian Antiquities Organization in search of the lost tomb of Setepenre. Expect lots of humidity, sand and heiroglyphics. Could be a long-term assignment. The situation is delicate, as ARCG has only recently re-established friendly ties with Egypt. Be on your best behavior.
[ ERIC SINN, VIRGIL GERHARD, EVELYN CARNAHAN, JULIE BEAULIEU ]

*AN-NAJAF, IRAN: The location of the long-disputed Pandora's Box has been picked up by ARCG intel. Expect lots of ruins. Also expect hostility — ARCG has a bad reputation and an even worse relationship with the Iranian government. This excavation will be short-term but will require some delicate wrangling and finesse in order to bypass all the official channels and gain access to the dig site without telling anybody of their ARCG loyalty.
[ IAIN MARLING, IAN MALONE, HORACE GERHARD ]

ARCTIC CIRCLE: An anasazi mummy has been recovered. A small and boring mission, but one of necessity. Bring the remains back to the Archives for proper treatment and care.
[ 1 ARCHAEOLOGIST, BRODY MILTON ]

*HAWAII: The Idol of Lono needs to be extracted from a temple deep in the mountains. There has been no intelligence to suggest that there is any danger regarding this assignment.
[ ESTHER WOHLENCHIK, INDIANA JONES, DAISY LOWRY ]

LOST TEMPLE, INDIA: Agents are expected to recover the Dagger of Kali from a lost temple in India. Expect snake pits, booby traps, large crevasses and a large number of puzzles. As always with tombs, there is the potential for death/being shut inside forever. ARCG cannot be held liable for any damage (such as death) suffered by their employees while on this excavation.
[ HENRY EAMES, AARON BEKKER, DUNCAN O'CEALLAIGH, 1 TECHNICIAN (SOME KIND OF ON-SITE MEDICAL EXPERTISE REQUIRED) ]

ooc | okay, here's how this works! if there is an asterisk, there has been a SET OUTCOME for that mission, sometimes involving the IRAS or an element of danger or injury. if unmarked, that means the outcome of the mission is up to you and the people involved; the only conditions involved is that IRAS mentions aren't allowed in unmarked missions. if you're not okay with your character getting hurt or involved in something semi-plotish, avoid the ones marked! if you DO volunteer for a marked mission, you will be notified of the outcome of the mission through PM, and there are usually ic consequences involved. you're welcome to thread the missions at your own leisure; logs can be posted in this comm if you like, but you can handwave it as well if you really want!

happy tomb raiding, agents!
